If you do not like long lines or crowded elevators, then weekdays are the best time to visit Mahanakhon, especially Tuesday and Thursday, just after it opens at 10 AM. During this time, you will enjoy a calm atmosphere, shorter wait times, and uninterrupted views from both the indoor and outdoor observation decks.
Weekends, especially Saturday evenings, are the most crowded times. Many tourists and locals visit there during this time to watch sunset views, visit the rooftop bar, and enjoy the Bangkok skyline. If you choose this time, you will get the lively atmosphere, but be prepared for the longer queues and more wait time for photos on the glass Skywalk. For a sunset view, try to arrive around 4:30 PM on a weekday.
Peak Season (November to February):
This is the best time to visit Mahanakhon, as the temperature ranges between 24°C to 28°C. During this time, the sunsets are clear, and the visibility from the skywalk is stunning. But you can expect more tourists, so make sure to book your ticket online in advance.
Low Season (June to October):
This is Bangkok’s monsoon period. If you are travelling during these months, try to visit Mahanakhon in the morning to avoid afternoon rain showers. While the rooftop might close temporarily due to weather, the indoor observation deck usually remains open.
Open Daily: Mahanakhon Skywalk operates every day of the week in 2025.

Mahanakhon is extremely well-connected through public transport in Bangkok.
Mahanakhon Tower is well equipped with all the modern amenities you would expect from a world-class landmark.
King Power Mahanakhon is fully accessible for people with mobility needs.
People know Mahanakhon for its glass SkyWalk, which is Thailand's tallest rooftop bar, and its one-of-a-kind pixelated design. It has become a modern symbol of the city's skyline and gives you a view of Bangkok from all sides.
There is no strict dress code, but you should wear clothes that are comfortable and show respect. Avoid wearing high heels or shoes that are slippery on the glass platform. For ladies, pants or secure dresses are better than loose skirts due to the wind at the top.
Most visitors spend about 1.5 to 2 hours at Mahanakhon. This gives you enough time to enjoy the digital exhibits, walk the SkyWalk, and take in the skyline. If you want to see the sunset, get there 45 minutes early for the best experience.
